Biography

Robert Langford Modini Stack, born Charles Langford Modini Stack on January 13, 1919, was an American actor and television host known for his multilingual abilities. He starred in over 40 feature films and gained prominence for his role in the television series The Untouchables, which aired from 1959 to 1963. Later, he hosted the investigative series Unsolved Mysteries from 1987 until 2002. Stack was born in Los Angeles, California, and spent part of his early childhood in Europe, where he became fluent in French and Italian before learning English. He passed away on May 14, 2003.
