Biography

Kenneth Connor was a British actor renowned for his contributions to stage, film, radio, and television. He was born on June 6, 1918, in Islington, London, and made his stage debut at the age of two in one of his father's concert parties. By eleven, he had developed his own act and later trained at the Central School of Speech and Drama, where he earned a gold medal. Connor served in the Middlesex Regiment during World War II before joining the Bristol Old Vic, where he honed his skills in classical theatre. He gained national prominence through his roles in the Carry On film series, appearing in seventeen of the original thirty films. Additionally, Connor was known for his work on radio shows like Ray's a Laugh and television programs such as 'Allo 'Allo! and Hi-de-Hi!. He remained active in the entertainment industry until his death in 1993.
